obama hates black blind people

September 23rd, 2009

govpat

It is clear that President Barack Obama is a racist. Clearly, in his not supporting David Paterson for governor of New York, the first black governor of the state, Obama is engaging in racism. Michelle Paterson, the governor’s wife agrees.

David’s the first African-American governor in the state of New York and he’s being asked to get out of the race. It’s very unusual and it seems very unfair.

Unusual indeed Michelle, unusual indeed. It would be odd if Paterson is being judged on his record and not his skin color, I mean he has a 17% approval rating and a $3B deficit, but he is black, so technically he is completely unaccountable. Since results are a nonissue the only possible motivation for not supporting the governor is race. The governor himself has admitted that the reason his approval ratings are so low is because he is black, he has also suggested they are low because Obama’s approval is so low, and that Obama’s approval is low because Obama is black. Therefore, if Obama disapproves of the governor, he himself must be a racist. QED.

But clearly Obama is not a racist because black people can’t be racist, therefore, he must be anti-disabled. Obama simply wants to support someone with more vision. I figured it out Michelle.

nyu

On my way home from work tonight, while riding the subway, I noticed the small print on an NYU School of Continuing & Professional Studies advertisement. It read, an affirmative action/equal opportunity organization. How are these two goals not considered mutually exclusive?

Just struck me as ironic.

overpriced juice

mvie

I am back from two weeks in Hawaii; rested, relaxed, sans an outer layer of skin, and married.

While staying in Maui at the Grand Wailea Hotel (where a hamburger costs $30) my path crossed with a couple of hundred MonaVie salespeople. If you don’t know what MonaVie is, chances are you never check your junk mail folder. MonaVie is what comes from Jesus’ eyes when he cries, bottled by Oprah, then packaged for you to purchase at $45 a pop so you can live forever (or something like that).

I gather business is good, good enough for a few hundred juice pushers and their families to spend 6 days at a five star hotel in Hawaii to go over “marketing and sales techniques”,  which I assume is multi-level-marketing-slang for drinking $9 Coors Lights by the pool while your plastic wife and emotionally neglected kids annoy the crap out of good paying hotel guests.

The 2009 MonaVie Hawaii summit proved one thing - if you sell fancy juice in fancy bottles, every article of your clothing is emblazoned with your fancy corporate logo, and you can afford a fancy Hawaiian vacation - anyone who buys MonaVie from you is a sucker.

Stick with orange juice (just don’t buy it at the Grand Wailea Hotel, it’s $6 for a 4 ounce glass).

the plunge

jamfaSorry for not updating in a while, but I have been pretty busy. This Sunday I will be getting married to my girlfriend of almost four years. After that, the two of us are off to Hawaii for two weeks (during which time I hope to help President Obama track down his paperwork. Jay Kay - relax geesh).

Anyway - I have been neglectful of updating daily as of late. It’s not for a lack of material, however, my goal for this site is not to be exclusively political. I feel it was at its best when it was a blend of satire, politics, and personal anecdotes. But I guess there is just way too much going on in this country that I am viscerally opposed to for me to ignore, and that is what I have focused most of my intellectual attention on.

Before I got so busy I was planning on spotlighting this video that Arthur left in my comments a few weeks back. As a graphic artist myself, I feel it does a great job articulating what I have felt since first witnessing the shamelessly over the top branding of Obama. Better late then never. Have a look.

See you when I get back from my honeymoon (or sooner with a possible Hawaii post).
