the plunge
Sorry for not updating in a while, but I have been pretty busy. This Sunday I will be getting married to my girlfriend of almost four years. After that, the two of us are off to Hawaii for two weeks (during which time I hope to help President Obama track down his paperwork. Jay Kay - relax geesh).
Anyway - I have been neglectful of updating daily as of late. It’s not for a lack of material, however, my goal for this site is not to be exclusively political. I feel it was at its best when it was a blend of satire, politics, and personal anecdotes. But I guess there is just way too much going on in this country that I am viscerally opposed to for me to ignore, and that is what I have focused most of my intellectual attention on.
Before I got so busy I was planning on spotlighting this video that Arthur left in my comments a few weeks back. As a graphic artist myself, I feel it does a great job articulating what I have felt since first witnessing the shamelessly over the top branding of Obama. Better late then never. Have a look.
See you when I get back from my honeymoon (or sooner with a possible Hawaii post).
JAM,
What better reason is there for not updating? Marrying the GF of 4 years (by today\’s measuring stick, that\’s a lifetime) … Honeymooning in Hawaii - The American Dream, no less. In 1964, I flew back to OZ from Malaysia, married my GF and took a cruise back to Singapore. Was sick and unable to leave the cabin for 4 out of the 10 days. I hope you have better experiences than I and that you both enjoy to the full, one of the most important times in married life. Be careful of the waters and the natives (they ate Capt. Cook - English Discoverer of OZ - there were others before him but they all gave up - Dutch landed on the North West coast and promptly got back onboard - Still, they gave OZ it\’s early name of New Holland).
Once again, Have a beaut time and make every shot count.
Arthur
